Happy Hump Day!

..."NO!" for you those who are thinking you can walk around and hump everything now. Perverts. It means it's the middle of the week and Friday is almost here. Thursday we'll be over the hump and onto Friday! I'm spending my hump day working on my vision board. I never realized how long this could take! Although it is quite enjoyable.

This awful weather lately is taking a toll on my exercising schedule. Who the hell wants to run in this?!

Not me.

I haven't touched my XBox since probably Valentine's Day. I am getting way too frustrated with one of the special ops on Call Of Duty (COD) and I have no patience lol. I was thinking about trying it again today but then I realized how miserable I get playing it because video games bring the worst out in me and just about anyone I know. Sit down for one level of a video game with any single person, even one who hasn't played before, and I PROMISE the words "are you kidding me?!" will leave their mouth at least twice. It's NOT a joke, you actually did just get your ass handed to you by a computer. As a gamer I can't put into words how frustrating it is starting from the beginning again. Anyways, the reason I'm not touching my Xbox is because today is going to be a happy day lol.

This picture got me super excited for summer. If I wasn't in a relationship I always had a summer romance but nothing ever serious. Just someone that you enjoy all the great parts of summer with. As corny as this is "long walks on the beach" are my favourite - even with a girl friend and a bottle of wine. Just enjoying the sunset on the water, the sand in your toes and the smell of a warm summer night is such a great way to unwind.

One of my favourite summer nights with a summer guy was when I lived in the city with my cousin. There was a guy there named Chris that was working for a construction company that worked on the condos I lived in. He was absolutely gorgeous. My cousin and I were sitting on the balcony when she noticed him and told me I should get his number. Well I took the dog for a walk so I could pass him and see what his reaction would be when he saw me, if he seemed interested. He did and I blushed hard when he said "Hello" in the most gentlemen like tone I had ever heard.

A week went by of us saying "Hello" to each other every day until one day it was extremely hot out and I brought him a glass of water. I was half way to him and I turned around and took a drink of the water and kept walking towards him."Hey! It's hot out here, I thought you could use a drink" was my very first line and he sat down with me and we spent his lunch break in the shade talking. He asked me if I had any plans that night and if I would like to hang out with him and of course I said yes.

We went for a really long walk and we ended up in a soccer field where we decided to race from one end to the other. He beat me but as he was passing me he grabbed my waist and pulled me to the grass with him. That's when he tried to kiss me and I totally chickened out and got up from the grass and suggested we get back to my place. He agreed and held my hand the whole way while we talked about everything. When we got to my place he kissed me on the cheek and headed home.

We spent the rest of the summer together but it ended when he had to move back with his mom. He only lived with his brother in the summers and worked for that construction company while he was there. I visited my cousin two summers after that and I took my cousin Zander for a walk. I passed a guy working for a construction company a few blocks away and I could have sworn it was him, we made eye contact and I just kept walking. Every moment with him was straight out of a movie and I'll never forget that summer as long as I live.

I hope you all spend a moment of this cold winter day thinking about your favourite summer time romance and the moments that made it so great.

Happiness and summer time romances,
